Taylor Swift’s fans have rushed to defend her after critics demanded she take down her latest album photos, with some online trolls calling them “disgusting.”

Although most reactions to the 35-year-old Bad Blood star’s upcoming album artwork have been overwhelmingly positive, a handful of people have accused her of being a “bad influence” on younger listeners.

For anyone who missed the news, Taylor’s next album, The Life of a Showgirl, is set for release this autumn on 3 October, and its cover art reflects the glamorous “showgirl” concept.

That means plenty of sparkle and glamour — think jeweled bodysuits, fur, elaborate headdresses, feathers, and yes, even a little skin on display — all perfectly in line with the showgirl aesthetic.

In her latest photo set, captured by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott and unveiled on Monday (18 August), Taylor is pictured in a dazzling red-and-black bodysuit with matching arm sleeves and nude fishnet tights. She strikes a dramatic pose, leaning forward with both hands pressed against the wall, her right leg slightly positioned ahead of the left.
