YouTube Music is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the launch of “taste match” playlists, a new feature that creates shared playlists shaped by the listening habits of everyone involved. These playlists refresh daily, offering a dynamic way for users to discover new songs while exploring the music preferences of friends and family.

The feature closely resembles Spotify’s Blend, which combines the tastes of multiple listeners into a single playlist. Like Blend, taste match is designed to make music discovery more social and personalized.

In addition to shared playlists, YouTube Music is rolling out a series of updates aimed at deepening fan engagement. Soon, listeners will be able to comment directly on albums and playlists. The platform is also expanding its live music integrations through a partnership with Bandsintown, bringing concert listings to artist pages, Shorts, and music videos. New notification tools are being introduced as well, giving fans timely updates on album releases, tour dates, and even artist merchandise.
